Kaz Bake Rich Fruit Cake Care
To ensure freshness of the Fruit Cake, it is important to store the Fruit Cake correctly and ‘feed’ the cake at regular intervals (weekly). Please see below instructions to ‘feed’ your Kaz Bake Rich Fruit Cake.
When the Kaz Bake Rich Fruit Cake is freshly baked and cold, I ‘feed’ the cake by making small holes in the top and bottom of the cake with a toothpick/skewer and spooning in a couple of tablespoons of brandy, then wrap it in double baking paper, and then aluminium foil. Store in an airtight container.
After purchasing your Kaz Bake Rich Fruit Cake, remove the cake from a plastic sealed bag, wrap it in double baking paper, and then aluminium foil. Store in an airtight container. During the storage time I recommend ‘feeding’ the cake at odd intervals (weekly) with brandy.
To do this, strip off the lining papers, make a few extra holes in the top with a toothpick/skewer and pour a few teaspoons of brandy in to soak into the cake. Repeat this at intervals for a week or two.
As a guide we ‘feed’ an 8 inch cake with 2 - 3 teaspoons of brandy about 6 times so between 60 and 100mls in all.
Kaz Bake NYC Thick Cookies Care
Kaz Bake NYC Thick cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to one week. If you’d like to save them for later, we recommend individually wrapping them and storing them in the freezer until a craving hits.
Craving an ooey-gooey cookie?
1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius.
2. Place cookies on a lined baking tray and bake for 2 minutes.
3. Enjoy oh so gooey cookies from the oven.
Please do not store your cookies in the refrigerator or use a microwave to reheat them.
